Committees & Task Forces
Involvement in committees and task forces is open to all students and advisors—and requires no prior MACURH experience. Committees run year-round and work to achieve common objectives listed in the policy book or in the committee's description. Task forces are goal-oriented and dissolve upon the achievement of the task force's goal(s). The frequency of meetings varies from group to group.
Committee Descriptions
Policy Review & Development (RevDev) Committee

SUMMARY | The Policy Review and Development Committee reviews legislation to ensure pieces mirror MACURH’s stances of fairness and belonging, and that they are ready to enter our policy book. The committee also writes new legislation so we can adapt to new practices and priorities.
COMMON TASKS | Reviewing legislation pieces, identifying the need for new changes to policy and writing legislation to implement them.
Of the Month (OTM) Committee

Associate Director for NRHH (ADNRHH)
SUMMARY | As part of the OTM Committee, you will assist the MACURH ADNRHH with selecting regional winning OTMs. This committee operates asynchronously, meaning that you vote on your own time. The ADNRHH connects with the committee through email and open office hours.

The Farmers Market Task Force

Regional Business Conference Chair
SUMMARY | The Farmer’s Market Task Force supports the MACURH COMET in processing merchandise inventory and developing new creative merchandise ideas. This is a new task force, and will have fluid responsibilities and expectations that are subject to change throughout the year!
COMMON TASKS | Running the Farmer’s Market (regional store) in business spaces, developing marketing strategies to sell out existing inventory, brainstorming merchandise ideas.
Bidding Task Force

SUMMARY | The Bidding Task Force serves to aid the MACURH RBD with carrying out the award bidding process and evaluating how our bidding process as a whole. This task force will review bids for policy violations and accessibility concerns and provide feedback. This task force will also review feedback and evaluate our bidding process to improve it in the future.
